Written almost a decade after Phun Viang, Kap Muang Phuan (Poem of the Phuan Country) tells a sorrowful episode of the forced relocation of the Phuan ethnic group in northern Laos to Siam following the Vietnamese invasions from 1834-1836.

Phun Viang (The Chronicle of Vientiane) recounts the revolt of Chao Anou against the Siamese government in 1826.
