Chairat Polmuk
Chairat Polmuk is Assistant Professor in literary studies at the Department of Thai, Chulalongkorn University, where he teaches Southeast Asian languages and literature, cultural theory, and media studies. He received a PhD in Asian Literature, Religion and Culture from Cornell University. His research focuses on affective and intermedial aspects of post-Cold War literature and visual culture, especially in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. His writing has appeared in Intersections: Gender and Sexuality in Asia and the Pacific, Routledge Handbook of Theravāda Buddhism, and Of Peninsulas and Archipelagos: The Landscape of Translation in Southeast Asia. He is a member of the editorial collective of Southeast of Now: Directions in Contemporary and Modern Art in Asia.
