Kong Lee

Like so many other artists, it was in  his early childhood that his hand began to itch for a pencil, without a teacher to supervise him, his first steps were those of an autodidact.

He explains that over the years he has created a specific relationship with art, a personal relationship that allows him to create and impart what artists love to other people, and make them discover the magic of art.

Kong uses mostly a choice of black and white colors in his artwork, because for him, its tones are peaceful, like a reflection of tranquility, and this allows him to transcribe a specific emotion, without the disruptive element of color.

Black and white are warming his heart, he says, black and white because for him color is secondary in his vision of art. The artwork must be appreciated for its strokes through the dynamics of its lines, its volumes, its lights, moreover, black and white reflects more the essence of a scene, while colours tend to blur overall vision.

To be an artist is not only to master one or lots of techniques, it is above all to be able to express a sensitivity which comes from the heart, the breath of the artist, for him, no hesitancy: he is convinced that one is born an artist but does not become one. More than a passion, drawing, painting is his daily life, his job, his destiny and in this daily life, he finds a large source of inspiration, an unlimited and constantly renewable tank of inspiration which can also be observed objectively or subjectively.

But what he appreciates most about practicing art is freedom, the freedom to be himself.
